WHY is giving important?
Giving is an act of worship—a heartfelt response to God’s boundless grace and generosity. It acknowledges that all we have belongs to God and reflects our trust in Him as our ultimate provider. Giving also shapes our hearts, reminding us to depend on God rather than on material things. As followers of Christ, we are called to give cheerfully, sacrificially, and regularly, just as God has given to us (Romans 8:32).
WHO should consider giving?
All followers of Jesus are invited to participate in giving as a way to support God’s work through the local church. Giving has always been a privilege extended to everyone, regardless of their financial means (2 Corinthians 8:3-4). Through the Church, God’s message of grace and forgiveness is shared with the world. Supporting the work of the church is an opportunity to join in His mission and make an eternal impact.
Why should I consider GIVING TO The Journey? How is the money used here?
When you give to The Journey, you’re partnering with us in God’s mission—both in our local communities and around the world. Your contributions directly support Bible studies, local outreach, missionary efforts, Sunday services, staff, facility maintenance, and even the simple joy of coffee shared together. Every dollar helps us carry out the ministry God has called us to.
HOW do I determine how much to give?
God doesn't need your money—He’s after your heart. Giving is about worship and trust, not a specific amount. The New Testament encourages us to give generously and joyfully, without prescribing percentages. Seek God’s will for your finances and give in a way that stretches your faith and draws you closer to Him (Psalm 50:14-15). Ultimately, your gift should reflect a heart of gratitude and reliance on God as your provider.
