God’s story is always unfolding, even in the darkest moments of betrayal, suffering, and loss. This summer, we will explore two of the most compelling narratives in Scripture: the story of Joseph, who was sold by his brothers yet used by God to bring about reconciliation and provision, and the story of Ruth, a foreign widow whose loyalty and faith opened the way for redemption and restoration. Both Joseph and Ruth faced complex family dynamics, injustice, pain, and uncertainty. In their lives, we see a God who is faithfully at work, forming character, restoring relationships, and carrying out His greater mission.
Their stories invite us to reflect on our own lives and ask important questions:What does it mean to be with Jesus in identity, suffering, temptation, and waiting?Who is helping shape you into the person God is calling you to become?Where is Jesus inviting you to partner with Him in reconciliation, friendship, justice, and restoration?

These stories remind us that God is not done with us. He is with us, He is for us, and He is forming us into people who reflect His heart to the world.
Reading Scripture is a Practice or rhythm we put in our life that over time, form us into apprentices of Jesus.
